Association continues to push economic stimulus

Two measures that are key to Snohomish County economic stimulus remain in draft form, leading our association to advocate for fast action.  We've received feedback from county staff on technical changes necessary before the ordinances are ready for introduction and are working to craft the necessary language.

The first of the two ordinances includes the extension of building and other permits such as grading and retaining walls related to a plat. The second measure will change the payment point of impact fees to the sale of a home. While addressing the staff comments and code complexities, we continue to meet with decision-makers to build legislative support.

Please contact North Snohomish County Manager Mike Pattison with questions at (425) 460-8203.
