The Bothell City Council recently updated its code to permit accessory dwelling units (ADUs) as part of its ongoing strategy to promote affordable housing. Changes include reduced setback requirements and various other elements. Restrictions include one paved off-street parking stall, a floor area limited of two-thirds of the primary dwelling unit, and a height limit of 25 feet. Various ownership and occupancy rules will be applied as well.
