The Lake Stevens City Council adopted proposed updates to their streets and sidewalks code on June 25. This is a city-initiated code amendment to update Chapter 14.56 LSMC Streets and Sidewalks. This chapter addresses right-of-way issues, including how the city’s street network should be built out, what types of developments are required to build sidewalks and other frontage improvements, and how deviations from the approved EDDS are granted. The adopted changes are largely cleanup based.

Your association submitted comments and testified on concerns with long block paved path requirements and praised the addition of options for alternative parking (pocket parking) when dealing with new subdivision on-street parking requirements. View the updated streets and sidewalks ordinance.
