On Tuesday, October 22, the Covington City Council unanimously approved two pro-housing ordinances to improve the permitting process for applicants. These measures increase the short plat threshold from four to nine lots and allow for final approval of long plats to be done administratively. Both are effective October 29, 2019. These measures are designed to bring greater efficiency to the permit process and save time for both city staff and the applicant.
