The Snohomish County Hearing Examiner recently held an open record hearing on what is believed to be the first long plat duplex application in Snohomish County. The project, at 13th Avenue West near Lynnwood, proposes to subdivide 2.7 acres into 44 total units.

County staff informs us multiple short plat duplex projects have recently been submitted. The County’s duplex code was adopted in 2015 and is now beginning to gain popularity.
