Sammamish Sewer Connection Moratorium Expires

The Sammamish Plateau Water and Sewer District (District) allowed the sewer connection moratorium on the northern part of the city to expire on August 23. The District’s Board said it adopted and extended the original emergency moratorium to, “[R]eview metrics and further assess the situation with respect to immediate and interim improvements designed to expand capacity of the sewer system.”

With the moratorium expired, the District is once again accepting sewer connections but with an adjusted process, including modified timing of payment of certain fees and updated conditions to District-issued Certificates of Water and Sewer Availability.
