This week, newly appointed Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) Director Greg Spotts attended the Seattle Builders Council (SBC) breakfast meeting. Director Spotts took the opportunity to introduce himself and talk about his experience working on some of the largest transportation projects in the Los Angeles area. Seattle builders presented the top three SDOT issues they are facing: Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Curb Ramps, street improvement permits (known as SIP Lite), and Right of Way Restoration Rules (ROWRR).

MBAKS GA staff and SBC Steering Committee members will follow up in meetings with Director Spotts and his leadership team to discuss these issues in more detail. SBC members will also host Director Spotts for building site walk-throughs to share real world examples of their issues.
