At the most recent Housing Affordability Regional Taskforce (HART) meeting Snohomish County released its draft Housing Characteristics and Needs Report. You can access the document HERE. The report breaks down projected countywide housing needs by income level out to the year 2044. The bottom-line takeaway reads that 156,623 new housing units are needed by 2044 when the population is expected to reach 1,130,788. For context, there were an estimated 317,348 existing units in 2020.
