This week the Snohomish County Council unanimously passed Ordinance 22-073 related to permit extensions. Permits such as Land Disturbing Activities (LDA’s) and Flood Hazard Variances are now eligible for an 18-month extension. The applicant must submit the extension request prior to expiration of the existing permit. The Council also adopted an amendment granting the Department of Public Works a similar option. The County Executive is expected to sign the measure making it effective in approximately 10 days to two weeks.
