Arlington Planning Commission Holds Workshop on Comp Plan Code Amendments

This week the Arlington Planning Commission discussed its Comprehensive Plan zoning code amendments. Many of the changes are clean-up or clarifying in nature such as updating and simplifying codes and adding tables and examples. Some significant proposed amendments include administrative approval of final plats, adding language to show duplexes are allowed in all residential zones and the 150% lot size is only required with RULC & RLC zones, updating to show unit lot subdivisions are allowed in all residential zones except RULC and RLC, adding a new section for Private Roads Access Tract specifically for unit lot subdivision, and beneficial ADU reform that will be closely aligned to what HB 1660 would have required.   • Planning Commission Public Hearing: September 20, 2022

  • City Council Workshop: October 10, 2022

  • City Council Meeting: October 17, 2022
