The Arlington Planning Commission viewed a video presentation and had a discussion on missing middle housing, as well as the city’s consideration of form-based code at a workshop on September 3.

MBAKS staff has been working with Arlington to implement tools to increase housing variety, density, and efficiencies, such as lot size averaging, final plat administrative approval, and accessory dwelling units. City staff has said they are looking to also introduce potential zoning changes based on the exercises and discussions by the end of the year or on their 2020 Comprehensive Plan Docket. View the potential zoning changes that were considered at a prior exercise.

MBAKS will continue to work with Arlington on these changes and keep you updated as they progress.
