Bothell Looks to Raise Short Plat Thresholds, Allow Duplexes

The city of Bothell has applied for planning grants from the state Department of Commerce to enable it to write and process ordinances allowing duplexes on corner lots and raise their short plat threshold from four units to nine.

The grants are available due to last year’s passage of House Bill 1923, strongly advocated for by MBAKS. We’ve long advocated for these changes in Bothell and it appears they are on their way to finally doing so.
