Issaquah City Council Adopts ‘EV’ Proposal

On Monday, April 5, the Issaquah City Council adopted the Electric Vehicle (EV) readiness proposal that requires EV prewiring and Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) in new development.

Notable elements of the adopted proposal include:

  • Exemption for single family and townhome projects with four or fewer units

  • New multifamily including affordable will be required to provide 10% EVSE and 20% EV-ready

The adopted ordinance becomes effective on April 13. The Planning Policy Commission requested a one-year post-implementation review at City Council to monitor progress. For more information, contact
