Members of the SBC Steering Committee recently met with staff at Seattle’s Office of Planning & Community Development (OPCD) to review the latest draft of the much-anticipated townhome reform legislation. MBAKS members began working with OPCD on this effort over two years ago. The legislation package includes an important amendment related to density rounding limits for townhomes. If passed, it will again be possible to develop four townhomes on a 5,000-square-foot lot. The draft of this package has just begun SEPA review, and once completed, it will proceed to the Land Use Committee for consideration before its final vote by City Council. Stay tuned for updates and official draft language.
