On Tuesday, January 17, North Bend City Council voted unanimously to raise SEPA categorical exemption thresholds for single and multi-family units from four to twelve. MBAKS has been supportive of this change since the Planning Commission stages and we finished strong, testifying at the Tuesday meeting. Though we fought for the maximum exemption level, North Bend commissioners wanted to remain at the exemption level of peer jurisdictions such as Duvall and Snoqualmie. We will continue to work towards infill development exemptions for North Bend. The new SEPA thresholds will take effect on February 1, 2023.
