Jared Mead

Councilmember, Snohomish County

Councilmember Jared Mead, a University of Washington graduate, began his career as a licensed small business and investment banker. Transitioning to public service in 2014, he joined the Mill Creek Planning Commission and was later elected to the Mill Creek City Council. In 2018, Jared was elected to the State House of Representatives for the 44th Legislative District, serving on the Transportation, Environment and Energy, and College and Workforce Development Committees. Since April 2020, he has been a District 4 County Councilmember, advocating for bipartisan solutions and future-focused policies, exemplified by his Building Bridges initiative with Councilmember Nate Nehring. He strongly believes that his job in government is to leave the world a better place for future generations.

Executive Director, Snohomish County

Ken Klein currently serves as Executive Director for Snohomish County Executive Dave Somers. Ken’s responsibilities include overseeing the Planning and Public Works Departments. He was previously a Snohomish County Councilmember and before that served on the Arlington City Council. He and his family still make Arlington their home.
