Construction Education Scholarships

Sustain our industry by sending students to school

MBAKS is committed to encouraging students seeking education related to the homebuilding industry. We are honored to award scholarships for qualifying technical, community college, and university programs. We also award scholarships to women seeking education and training in the construction trade through the Professional Women in Building Scholarship.

Between 2015 and 2022, MBAKS has had the honor of awarding more than $160,000 in scholarship funds.

Applications

MBAKS is pleased to announce three scholarship opportunities for 2023 that are now open and accepting applications. Applications will be accepted until June 30.

MBAKS Professional Women in Building Annual Scholarship: The MBAKS Professional Women in Building Council supports women choosing careers in the Washington housing industry by awarding qualified students an educational scholarship.

MBAKS Sales & Marketing Council Annual Scholarship: The MBAKS Sales & Marketing Council supports emerging professionals choosing sales and marketing careers in the Washington housing industry.

MBAKS Construction Education Annual Scholarship: MBAKS is committed to encouraging students seeking education related to the homebuilding industry. We are honored to award scholarships for qualifying technical, community college, and university-level programs.

Requirements

Applicants must desire a career in the residential construction industry after completing their studies. Applicants must be pursuing a degree or training in a construction-related field at a Washington-based technical school, community college, or university.

Scholarships will be awarded at partial or full tuition per student, per year. Funds will be paid directly to the program requested and may be used for tuition, books, or course-required supplies and equipment.

Applicant’s interest in the residential construction industry, grades, employment experience, extracurricular activities, references, and financial need will be considered.
