This week the Snohomish County Council approved Motion 24-120 related to funding an additional on-call civil plan reviewer. MBAKS members have faced increasingly long permit review timelines; adding on call reviewers in the face of ongoing staff shortages is crucial. Noted in commentary to the motion, the additional reviewer is not enough, but it is Planning and Development Services’ preferred approach to engage one at a time.
